ABOUT DAVE
David L. Miles, Founder and President of Miles Enterprises, lives in Carroll County, Maryland with Kathy, his wife of 26 years. David has been in the cabinetry trade since 1982. His meticulous attention to detail and logical approach to problem resolution enabled him to take lead cabinetmaking and management positions in the companies he worked for prior to starting his own. As Director of Miles Enterprises, David places great importance in establishing and maintaining relationships. It is David who initially meets with clients, and he is actively involved in all of the conceptual designs that MEI provides. He has an eye for detail and a reputation for designs that bring balance and proportion that complement the existing homes architecture. David has an extensive knowledge of the cabinetry options, as well as the finishing and installation that complete our products. This enables him to understand customers’ needs and desires, and allows him to talk through options and details that may otherwise get overlooked.
ABOUT RICK
Rick Hartwig, Vice President of Miles Enterprises, lives in Carroll County, Maryland with Tori, his wife of 22 years. Rick has been in the trade since 1989 and is experienced in both commercial and residential cabinetry and millwork. Rick came to Miles Enterprises in 1996, initially as a minority partner, becoming a full partner a short time later. He currently serves as head of project management and engineering. He is highly organized and has a great rapport with the employees, making him a very effective project manager. He possesses good communication skills, which are crucial when projects require working closely with other trades such as electrical and plumbing. His attention to detail when turning conceptual designs into shop drawings ensures the accuracy necessary for precise production and trouble-free installation of our products. His shop drawings are cited by our home construction customers as having no equal.
